PlayStation 5 Pro: Specifications

Sony introduced the PlayStation 5 Pro in September, offering significant upgrades over the original PS5. While it retains the same 8-core, 16-thread AMD Ryzen Zen 2 CPU as its predecessor, the Pro version features an enhanced RDNA GPU with 16.7 teraflops of processing power, compared to the 10.28 teraflops in the standard PS5.

The PS5 Pro also brings a notable memory boost. It includes 16GB of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM alongside 2GB of DDR5 system RAM, marking an improvement from the original model's unified 16GB shared between the CPU and GPU.

In terms of connectivity, the Pro retains the same port configuration as the PS5, with two USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port, an Ethernet port, an HDMI connector, and an expandable M.2 SSD storage slot. Priced at $699 (approximately Rs 58,900), the PS5 Pro costs $300 more than the launch price of the PS5 Digital Edition introduced in 2020.
