PS Free Game: My First Gran Turismo
Sony is paying tribute to the much loved franchise Gran Turismo. My First Gran Turismo is a spin-off of the iconic racing game series, paying homage to the original title launched in 1997. This special edition will be available for free on the PlayStation Store to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users, with no PlayStation Plus subscription required. Designed for beginners and accessible to players of all skill levels, it offers an easy entry point for those unfamiliar with Gran Turismo or racing games in general.
Additionally, the game will support PS VR2 for an immersive racing experience—perfect for thrill-seekers, though it might challenge your tolerance for motion sickness. Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi shared more details about the game on the PlayStation blog.
Yamauchi wrote, "This isn't just about playing a game; it's about embarking on a personal driving journey. We've made sure the experience is intuitive, allowing anyone to get behind the wheel and master the essentials, such as cornering, braking, and acceleration. By playing it, users will build confidence one lap at a time, tackling new challenges that'll steadily refine their driving skills."
My First Gran Turismo offers a range of engaging modes, including Race Events, Time Trials, and Music Rally, giving players plenty of opportunities to enjoy the game. With a selection of 18 cars to try out, the game invites you to explore some of the series' most iconic tracks and locations, such as Kyoto Driving Park and Trial Mountain Circuit. Whether you're a longtime fan of the franchise or a newcomer looking to dip your toes into the world of Gran Turismo, this game provides a welcoming and exciting experience for everyone.
