Nintendo Switch 2: Nintendo has confirmed the much-anticipated release of its next-generation gaming console, the Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled to debut in 2025. In a teaser video titled "Nintendo Switch 2 – First-look trailer," the company showcased the new hardware. The trailer is available for viewing on Nintendo of America’s YouTube channel.
The console will support exclusive Nintendo Switch 2 games, alongside physical and digital titles from the original Nintendo Switch. According to Bloomberg, industry expert Robin Zhu from Sanford C. Bernstein predicts Nintendo has streamlined its supply chain to produce over 20 million units of the Switch 2 in its first year. This figure surpasses the launch-year sales of both the original Switch and the PlayStation 5, which sold around 15 million units each.
Meanwhile, rumours about the console's pricing have surfaced online. A purported employee of French retailer Micromania claims the Switch 2 will cost approximately €399 (Rs 35,500). The leak, shared on a subreddit, also suggests that game cartridges will be priced between €69 and €79, with 25 titles reportedly in development for the console.

Key details about the potential specs have surfaced, highlighting the following:
- Handheld GPU Performance: Expected to reach clock speeds up to 561 MHz, delivering 1.72 teraflops of processing power.
- Docked Mode Performance: Speculated to achieve 1007.3 MHz GPU clock speeds, resulting in approximately 3.09 teraflops.
- CUDA Core Count: Reports suggest 1,536 cores for enhanced graphical capabilities.
- Memory and Bandwidth: The console may feature 12 GB of LPDDR5X memory with a bandwidth of 120 GB/s, promising smoother performance.
- Compact Build: Leaks indicate dimensions of 206mm x 115mm x 14mm, retaining a portable form factor.
It should be noted that Nintendo has yet to officially confirm these specifications.
