The latest offering from the house of Marvel was 'The Marvels' featuring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. Now after the movie, Marvel is set to release a new game for the fans. 'Marvel Rivals' is a superhero team-based PVP shooter. This 6-vs-6 shooter, created by Netease in collaboration with Marvel Games, appears poised to compete with Overwatch 2, boasting a Valorant-inspired art style and diverse gameplay mechanics.

Marvel Rivals: Concept, Gameplay

The game will feature team-based gameplay with six members per team, offering "ever-changing battlefields." Players can choose to embody either superheroes or supervillains, each with unique abilities and powers that can be combined to trigger new effects. Additionally, characters can collaborate to unleash Team-Up Skills, introducing innovative tactics. For example, Rocket Raccoon can team up with Groot to plough through enemies, while Hulk can charge up Iron Man's armour with Gamma energy.

The environments in the game are dynamic and destructible, as seen in the trailer where a massive pillar is demolished in seconds, causing characters to take substantial damage from the fall. Various settings such as Asgard and a futuristic Tokyo are showcased, and leveraging superpowers to alter the terrain can provide significant advantages for your team.
