The India Game Developer Conference (IGDC), the leading game industry event in South Asia, has announced the expansion of Developer Day to seven major Indian cities. Building on the success of previous editions in Kochi, Chennai, and Guwahati in 2023, Developer Day is now reaching a broader audience across Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Cochin, Chennai, Guwahati, and Kolkata. Additionally, an exclusive Xsolla Forward Night in Bangalore offers a unique platform for game developers and industry leaders to network, enhance their skills, and showcase their gaming expertise.

This strategic expansion enables IGDC to better serve India's game development community. Developers can now engage with peers and industry leaders more conveniently, promoting collaboration and innovation nationwide. The event enjoys strong industry support, with Nazara Technologies returning as the Diamond sponsor, and Xsolla, Com2Us Platform, and MPL joining as Gold Sponsors. Associate sponsors include PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, STPI, MESC, Kerala StartUp Mission, UID, MIT WPU, and K-Tech, underscoring the broad industry backing for IGDC.

In tandem with this announcement, the event will introduce the Game Developers Association of India (GDAI), a newly formed association dedicated to advocating for game developers' interests across legislative, regulatory, and industry spheres. GDAI aims to strengthen its members by providing educational resources, and professional development opportunities, and promoting ethical game development practices.

IGDC will also unveil The IGDC Women in Games initiative, designed to foster a more inclusive environment for women in the gaming industry. This program will offer targeted opportunities to attract and retain female talent, bridging the gender gap and ensuring a safe, supportive space for aspiring game developers of all genders.
