GTA 6 Leaks: A recent leak of gameplay footage from Grand Theft Auto 6 has caught the attention of fans, particularly regarding a potential revamp of the game's Wanted system. The footage, along with insights from sharp-eyed fans, suggests that Rockstar Games might be introducing significant changes to how law enforcement pursues players in the upcoming game.

The first GTA 6 trailer, released by Rockstar, sparked widespread speculation, with many fans focusing on hidden details. However, one aspect went largely unnoticed until a Reddit user pointed out a potential shift in the traditional Wanted system, as first reported by GAMINGbible.

In previous GTA games, players faced escalating police pursuit based on the severity of their crimes, starting with a single star for minor offences and progressing to a full military response at five stars.

Cops May Not Recognise Players Immediately

But the new leaked footage hints at a more nuanced system. In a scene from the trailer, the game's protagonists, Jason and Lucia, manage to evade immediate police recognition after a crime, which suggests that authorities may not instantly have a description of suspects. This indicates that players could be pursued in a more strategic manner, with law enforcement potentially taking time to gather key information about the criminals.

Additional leaks reveal further details. In one clip, while committing a robbery, Jason and Lucia are shown receiving a message that the police have gathered detailed information about their getaway vehicle. This could mean a more complex pursuit mechanism, where law enforcement tracks not only the players’ actions but also their mode of transportation.

Other leaks also suggest that tools like masks might allow players to evade identification, adding an extra layer of strategy to eluding the authorities. While these changes remain unconfirmed, they could mark a transformative update to the GTA series, offering a more immersive and realistic experience for players. Fans are eagerly awaiting further revelations, especially with the anticipation of a second trailer from Rockstar Games.
