EA is set to announce a slate of major games in July, including the likes of FIFA 23 and Need For Speed, as per a known industry insider. If the report is indeed true, it doesn’t really come as a surprise as Electronic Arts chose to not be a part of any recent gaming events, including the Summer Game Fest earlier this month. It’s safe to speculate that EA is planning to announce its upcoming big releases during a standalone event. Although an exact date wasn’t announced, it is believed that EA may hold its announcement event sometime in the second half of July.

As per a report by EA insider Tom Henderson via Exputer, EA is expected to reveal several of its upcoming games in July, including the likes of FIFA 23, Need For Speed, and Skate 4. Henderson also noted that there will be no EA Play event this year and that EA will reveal games “when they are ready.”

As per the report, the upcoming Need For Speed game will “combine photorealistic graphics with anime elements.” The title may feature an online interaction element called ‘Meetups’ which will allow players to interact and get into races. While Henderson didn’t confirm the upcoming game’s title, he said that the title “Need for Speed: Unbound” has been doing the rounds.

Coming to FIFA 23, it will be the last product of the longstanding EA-FIFA partnership. In May, EA confirmed that it is ending a three-decade partnership with the official governing body of world football. From the coming year, FIFA games will be released under the name EA Sports FC.

It should be noted that EA hasn’t made any official announcement on the upcoming game reveals next month. So, this report should be considered with a pinch of salt.
