Diablo 4, stylised as Diablo IV, is finally set to see the light of day. First announced way back at BlizzCon 2019, Diablo 4 is a followup to Diablo 3, which was released first on PC in May 2012. Arguably one of the most iconic action RPGs of all time, Diablo 4 will continue to replicate the tried-and-tested class-based procedurally-generated-levels formula of the previous games, with a much more “grounded” story than the last instalment, as per creative director Sebastian Stepien.

From the release date to the price, here is everything you need to know about Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 Release Date

While early access was opened on June 1, Diablo 4 will be officially released for all on June 6.

Diablo 4 Price

Diablo 4 will be released in three editions — Diablo 4 Standard Edition, Diablo 4 Digital Deluxe Edition, and Diablo 4 Ultimate Edition.

The Standard Edition will offer the full game, one pre-purchase bonus item (Light-Bearer Mount), Capaison of Faith Mount Armour, Diablo 3 Inarius Wings and Inarius Murloc Pet, World of Warcraft Amalgam of Rage Mount, and Diablo Immortal Umber Winged Darkness Cosmetics Set.

The Digital Deluxe Edition will offer all the Standard Edition perks, along with four days of early access, Temptation Mount, Hellborn Carapace Mount Armour, and Premium Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock.

The Ultimate Edition will offer all the Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition perks, along with Wings of the Creator emote and the Accelerated Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock, which offers 20 tier skips, cosmetics, and Premium Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock.

The console versions of Diablo 4 are available via Sony’s PlayStation Store and Microsoft’s Xbox store, and they share the same prices. Diablo 4 Standard Edition price is set at Rs 5,599, Diablo 4 Digital Deluxe Edition price is set at Rs 7,199, and Diablo 4 Ultimate Edition price is set at Rs 7,999.

PC users, however, will only be able to purchase Diablo 4 via the Battle.Net portal, priced at $69.99, $89.99, and $99.99 for the three variants.

Diablo 4 Gameplay

As mentioned earlier, Diablo 4 will follow a similar gameplay structure as previous games, which is highlighted by the series’ procedurally-generated dungeons, which promise a fresh experience every time you play.

Players will get to choose from five different classes, each with unique skills. Your options are — Barbarian (can switch weapons during combat), Sorcerer (can cast elements-based spells), Druid (can shapeshift between human, werewolf, and werebear forms), Rogue (fast-moving, exceptionally adept with close-combat blades and long-range bows), and Necromancer (uses dark magic to summon creatures and attack).

Of course, you will have access to skill trees for each class to add RPG elements into the mix. There will be five main playable areas in the overall map of Sanctuaries: Dry Steppes, Fractured Peaks, Hawezar, Kehjistan, and Scosglen. This is a Diablo game, after all, and so it only makes sense to have a playable area called ‘Hell’ as well.
