Masala Games, an indie game developer based in Ahmedabad, has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Detective Dotson. This cosy mystery adventure game has been selected for the Wholesome Games Steam Celebration, a curated event showcasing uplifting and thoughtful games. The event runs from August 15 to 21, 2024.


To mark the occasion, a new demo of Detective Dotson is now available on Steam, offering a sneak peek into the game's charming world. Players can also add Detective Dotson to their wishlist on Steam and enjoy the demo during the Wholesome Games Steam Celebration.

Detective Dotson’s New Gameplay Trailer 


Detective Dotson's new gameplay trailer for Wholesome Games Steam Celebration 2024 is set to go live at 3 pm IST on August 15. It is set in a stylised version of modern-day India and puts players in the shoes of Dotson, a reluctant detective. The game draws inspiration from Bollywood and CID, bringing a unique narrative to life. Powered by Unity, Detective Dotson offers controller support and is designed to run smoothly on a wide range of PCs. 


The gameplay includes tasks such as pursuing suspects, gathering evidence, donning disguises, and engaging in espionage. While this demo offers a taste of the action, the full version may feature additional episodes and is expected to be released later.

Detective Dotson’s New Demo On Steam 


The new demo added to Steam is set to go live by 10 pm IST on August 15, 2024. In the new demo, players can get into The Mystery of Mrs. Sengupta's FOMO-mergency, where they help solve why Detective Dotson’s aunty was blacklisted from her kitty party. It offers a vibrant 2D-meets-3D world, players can try out various disguises, embark on side quests, and hunt for clues. And yes, players can even pet the dog.
