Battlegrounds Mobile India, or BGMI, has finally made a comeback to Google Play store and Apple's App Store. Numerous players pre-installed the game prior to May 29 viz. the official release date, however, BGMI became playable for all after a couple of days. It is worth mentioning that there's a lot of difference between just playing BGMI and actually understanding the game. Players assume that the game is just about shooting and assaults, however, BGMI is more about picking the right strategy than anything else. If one knows the strategy well, they should be able to ace every game and might end up scoring back-to-back Chicken Dinners.
So, how do you go from being a 'noob' to a 'pro'? Given below are six tips worth checking out
BGMI Tips & Tricks For Beginners
- Analyse The Map: It can't be stressed enough that one needs to be familiar with the map first if one want to win. Just knowing the names of the areas isn't enough. You need to understand which areas on the Map are the 'Hotspots' and which are the areas where you can hope of getting good loot first and then eventually engage in a battle with other players. Look at the route of the flight on which you are onboarded and keep an eye on the number of players that are dropping/landing in which regions. If you wish to land in an area which has ample houses/warehouses and the count of players that have jumped out of the plane is less than five then it might be a safe spot for you to have a loot. A few of the most 'Hotspot' areas which you might want to avoid are- Pochinki, Georgopol, Novorepnoye, and Sosnovka Military Base. Though these are also the areas where chances of getting a Flare gun (Used to call Air Drops) are higher.
- Choose Your Weapons Wisely: Once you land and start your loot, choosing the right weapon is the first step to ensure a win. You must understand what categories of guns are available in BGMI. The categories are- Meeles, Crossbows, Pistols, SMGs (Sub Machine Guns), LMGs (Light Machine Guns), SG (Shot Guns), AR (Assault Rifles), SR (Sniper Rifles), DMR (Designated Marksman Rifles). One should start with SMGs as they are best for short-range fights and usually in the beginning a short-range fight happens the most. Then as you loot, you should go for Assault Rifles as they're suitable for both short-range and mid-range fights. Ideally, you should have an Assault Rifle/Light Machine Gun and a Sniper Rifle in your arsenal to give a tough fight in short-range, mid-range as well as long-range fights.
- Play With A Squad: Ever heard the saying, 'The more the merrier'? It's true in BGMI's case. The more players you have in your team (You can have up to four at max) the higher your chances of surviving till the end will be. Play like a team, keep a lookout for your teammates and help them whenever needed. Most importantly, don't forget to revive them if you can.
- Practice Makes One Perfect: You shouldn't be ashamed of practising before heading to ranked matches. You can hone your aim and shooting skills in the 'Training Grounds'. While you're at it, you may wish to brush up on your driving skills as well as they can be a lifesaver in situations of an ambush. Learn about the sensitivity of each gun, the range till which it can shoot, its recoil, etc. so that you'll be knowing which guns to use with what attachments in the ranked matches.
- Figuring Out The Strategy: Firstly, know that the 'Key' to winning the match is to survive and not just kill. You shouldn't blindly engage in fights and ambushes. Engage in a fight only when you think you can win. Keep an eye out for enemies hiding in nearby areas, be it inside a building or in open fields. Secondly, if someone's firing at you, then don't run in a straight direction rather run in a Zig-Zag pattern which would make it difficult for your opponent to aim at you. Take cover behind objects to avoid damage and use the Crouching and Prone feature wisely even during fights. Thirdly and one of the most important things to remember is 'Fall Back To The Safe Zone'. Always keep an eye on the circle, if you stay out of the circle viz. in the 'Blue Zone' for too long then you'll die.
- Always Wear Headphones While Playing: As Ra's al Ghul said in 'Batman Begins', "Know your surroundings." You should always be on alert and hear the footsteps of your enemies if any are nearby. You can plan an ambush well if you know the location of your enemies.
Use these tips and tricks in BGMI and see how your chances of winning increase. So, go ahead and push your rank and start playing in the Pro leagues.
