BGIS 2024 Grand Finale: The XSpark team dominated the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 on Sunday and emerged victorious. As soon as the final kill was made, cheers erupted like anything. Hundreds of esports enthusiasts gathered at Hyderabad's HITEX Exhibition Centre to watch their favourite players playing live and were heard screaming and shouting. While some of them were proud of the winning team, there were also some who stood silently with a frown on their faces because their favourite team was not able to lift the trophy. In total, 16 teams competed neck-to-neck with underdogs putting forth commendable performances. 


Abhinav Bindra, India's first individual Olympic gold medalist, attended the event as well to cheer for the upcoming esports athletes.


Team XSpark became the winner of the Grand Finale by securing 142 points in total. Team Global Esports became the first runner up in the Finale by securing 134 points, and Reckoning Esports became the second runner up and lagged behind Global Esports by just 2 points.


 


Renowned BGMI player ScoutOP supported and cheered for his team, XSpark throughout the Finale. He stood tall with them even on the stage when they were declared as the winner of the Grand Finale.

BGIS 2024: Day 2


The battle on Day 2 of the tournament turned out to be just as interesting as the third day. Esports enthusiasts from across the country came to the HITEX Exhibition Centre to witness the nail-biting clashes of skill, strategy, and determination. The second day of the tournament kicked off with teams Reckoning Esports, Raven Esports and FS Esports securing their first win and pushing their rank on the leaderboard.


The level of excitement and zeal in the audience went beyond expectations when Global Esports emerged as a dominant force by securing a whopping 103 points and positioning themselves strongly for Day 3 of the finale.
