The Karnataka High Court was faced with an absurd and "vague" case, where a husband had sought quashing of a Look-out circular (LOC) against him under Section 498 A of IPC (marital cruelty), where his wife had complained that he stopped her from eating french-fries, rice and meat after delivery of their child due to her high blood pressure. The husband moved court saying that he was at the verge of losing his job as he was unable to travel back to the USA due to the LOC.
