Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is in the Assam leg of his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, was stopped from entering the premises of the Batadrava Than (shrine), or Bordowa Than, on January 22. This was the day of the 'pran pratishtha' or consecration of the Ram Idol at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Gandhi was stopped for around two hours at Haibargaon in the Nagaon district of Assam.
