Recently, the Kerala High Court heard a public interest litigation (PIL) challenging the Hindi-language titles for the three new criminal law statutes Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam and Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita replacing the IPC, CrPC and Evidence Act. Advocate PV Jeevesh filed a PIL before the Kerala High Court challenging Hindi names for three new criminal laws. Through the PIL, he sought directions from the court to declare the Hindi/ Sanskrit name of the Act
