Grounded Plane Reaches India But What Are Donkey Routes Many Still Falling For Despite Risks
The grounding of a Nicaragua-bound plane, carrying Indians, in France initiated yet again the discussion on 'Donkey routes', the real Dunki tale of Indians risking lives to reach foreign shores.
A plane grounded in France over fears of human trafficking landed at Mumbai airport in India Tuesday after the French authorities probed the passengers for four days. Out of the 303 onboard, 276 passengers made it to Mumbai while 25 sought asylum in France, reported news agency PTI. Among the passengers were 11 unaccompanied minors. Moreover, two persons were stopped from leaving but were later set free by French judges who talked to all of them.
