In a major development, the woman who accused West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose of sexually assaulting her while she was an employee at the Raj Bhawan, has moved the Supreme Court challenging the blanket immunity enjoyed by the Governor under Article 361 of the Indian Constitution. The woman contends that Article 361 of Indian Constitution does not bar police investigation against the Governor and the blanket immunity does not apply on criminal acts.
