New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan recently attended the second edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah and was honoured at the event. Several well-known people from throughout the world also attended the event, that included, American star Sharon Stone, British director Guy Ritchie, director Oliver Stone, and Egyptian legend Yousra. A number of Indian celebrities, including Priyanka Chopra, Kajol, and AR Rahman, were also present.


But, Shah Rukh Khan, is after all 'King Khan' and for good reason. At the event, even a Hollywood superstar like Sharon Stone was overjoyed when Shah Rukh khan went to sit beside her. 


The video of Sharon Stone's reaction has gone viral on the internet and is winning over the hearts of netizens. They poured their comments on the video and it seemed that people could not believe it was actually Sharon Stone who had been so excited. 






One of the users said, "I didn't realise who it was first. Later people told it was Sharon Stone.. The effect this man has on even the biggest of Hollywood stars..." while another one said, "I had to really confirm who that lady is. Such an iconic response."


A third comment read, "Absolutely! So gratifying. That escalation of shock! surprise! recognition! complete fangirling! And he solicitously bending over to greet her", while a fourth one followed with, "Every human being's basic instinct on seeing SRK."


At the event, Shah Rukh Khan was also honoured and as he accepted the award, he spoke to the audience in Arabic. “First of all, my attempt at Arabic here…’ and greeted the crowd as they burst into applause.


Shah Rukh Khan also gave a lengthy speech about the unifying power of cinema. The 57-year-old stated that for him and many others, movies are life, referring to cinema as a universal language that the entire world speaks. In addition, the actor discussed how linguistic barriers are vanishing, highlighting regional and international cinema. He continued by saying that movies beautifully explore differences and celebrate diversity.






The actor also addressed other celebrities who were present. In addition to requesting Ritchie's autograph, he promised to stare at Stone endlessly if she allowed him to sit next to her.


On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for 'Pathaan', which is set to release early next year. The movie, which is directed by Siddharth Anand also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles.
