Vettaiyan X Review: Rajinikanth's latest film, Vettaiyan, hit theaters on Thursday, featuring a star-studded cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Fahad Fazil, and Manju Warrier. Directed by Jai Bhim fame TJ Gnanavel, the film has been granted a U/A certification with a run time of 2 hours and 45 minutes. With music composed by Anirudh and produced by Lyca Productions, Vettaiyan has been one of the most anticipated films of the year.

The film, an investigative thriller, has been received with a mixture of praise and criticism.

Vettaiyan Review:

Fans on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) have shared their thoughts, with many celebrating Rajinikanth's mass moments in the film's opening minutes.

The first 20 minutes of Vettaiyan are packed with fan service, with Rajinikanth’s powerful screen presence being celebrated by audiences. A fan wrote, "#Vettaiyan First Half - SUPERB❤️‍🔥 First 20 mins to celebrate Superstar #Rajinikanth & his mass moments😎 After half an hour moves towards racy a screenplay filled with investigation of crime 👌" Another user praised the director, stating, "#Vettaiyan 1st half >>>>>>> #Jailer... Fahad is at his best, and last but not least, #Thalaivar acting is THE BEST ❤️❤️❤️."

Fahad Fazil, Dushara Vijayan, and Amitabh Bachchan have been noted for their impressive performances, while Anirudh's background music has also been singled out as a key strength in elevating the emotional and intense moments in the film.

However, not all reactions have been glowing. While some fans celebrated the film’s social message and investigative narrative, others found Vettaiyan to be lacking in excitement. A reviewer posted, "This is not a typical @rajinikanth movie but neatly organized content-driven movie along with his style and mannerism merged perfectly!!!"

In contrast, a disappointed user criticsed the second half, calling it "Waste of watch. Worst film in the decade..don't watch, waste of money."
