New Delhi: On Thursday morning in Mumbai, film producer Nitin Manmohan passes away at 60. He is survived by his wife Dolly, a daughter Prachi and a son Soham. On December 3, he had a major heart attack and was brought to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Navi Mumbai. 


The news was verified by his close friend and producer Kaleem Khan. He claims that approximately 15 days had passed since Nitin was admitted to the hospital and placed on a ventilator.


Because of heart problems, he was recently transferred to a private facility. A source said to PTI, “He was admitted to the hospital due to cardiac issues. He came in a very critical condition and was admitted in the ICU.” In the early hours of today, he stopped breathing despite being on a ventilator.


An previous report by ETimes stated that actor Akshaye Khanna was one of the few people to reach out to the producer's family when he heard about his illness.The two have previously collaborated on projects such as the movies 'Deewangee' and 'Gali Gali Chor Hai,' amongst others.


Nitin Manmohan is the son of the late actor Manmohan. He had produced movies like, ‘Bol Radha Bol’, ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’, ‘Army’, ‘Shool’, ‘Laadla’, ‘Dus’, ‘Chal Mere Bhai’, ‘Insaaf’, ‘Eena Meena Deeka’, ‘Tathastu’, ‘Tango Charlie’, ‘Dil Maange More’, ‘Sab Kushal Mangal’ and more.


Hemant Panchamiya, his brother, is a well-known exhibitor in Mumbai and he now resides in Pune.
