New Delhi: Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale, best known for essaying the role of Babuji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', is hospitalised. He is currently aditted in the ICU of Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. The veteran actor is in a critical condition and is on life support system.
According to the doctors, the condition of Vikram Gokhale remains very worrying and in the next 24 hours the picture about his condition will be completely clear.
As per an ANI tweet, the veteran actor was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, a few days back.

77-year-old Vikram Gokhale had been visiting the hospital since November 6, but a very reliable source in the family told ABP News that his condition had become very critical yesterday. According to the source, he is suffering from a serious disease related to liver and other parts of the body are also not working properly.
Vikram Gokhale is the son of renowned Marathi theater and film actor Chandrakanta Gokhale. The veteran actor belongs to an illustrious family of actors and theatre artists.
Vikram Gokhale's great grandmother Durgabai Kamat, was the first female actor of the Indian screen. His grandmother Kamalabai Gokhale was the first child artist of Indian cinema.
Vikra Gokhale has worked in many Hindi films like 'Khuda Gawah', 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', 'Mission Mangal', 'Dil Se', 'De Dana Dan, Hichki'. In 2013, he received the Best Actor Award for the Marathi film 'Anumati'.
Apart from being a renowned actor and theatre artist, Vikram Gokhale has also played some unforgettable characters on television with serials like 'Singhasan', 'Virrudh' and 'Sanjivani' among others. He is popularly known for his performance in the serial 'Udaan', that aired on Doordarshan.
