New Delhi: After Kriti Sanon, now Varun Dhawan has given a clarification about his remark on 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10' that suggested that Kriti is dating her Adipurush co-star Prabhas. There has already been a buzz around their relationship for quite some time and Varun’s comment added fuel to the fire.
Reposting Kriti's Instagram Story in which she denied dating Prabhas, Varun wrote: “Guys UI had your fun but it's just fun and stuff the channels have edited to have fun we took it as humour don't let ur imagination run so wild.”
In the morning Kriti had dispelled rumours about her wedding by addressing them on her Instagram story.
Kriti wrote, "It's neither pyaar, nor PR...our Bhediya just went a little too wild on a reality show. And his fun banter lead to some Howl-arious rumours. Before some portal announces my wedding date - let me burst your bubble. The rumours are ABSOLUTELY baseless." She also added a ‘Fake News’ sticker at the end.
On the show, Karan Johar had asked Varun to name a few single Bollywood ladies, but Kriti’s name was missing from the list. In the clip that went viral, Karan is seen questioning Varun about why Kriti's name was not on the list. Varun replies, “Kriti ka naam isiliye nahi tha kyunki Kriti ka naam kisi ke dil me hai. Ek aadmi hai jo Mumbai me nahi hai, vo iss waqt shooting kar raha hai Deepika (Padukone) ke saath. (Kriti's name is not here because her name is in someone's heart. That man is not in Mumbai because right now he is shooting with Deepika).”
The film ‘Bhediya,’ which stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, has been garnering praise from both film critics and audiences. Amar Kaushik directed the comedy-horror movie 'Bhediya', which is the third installment in Vijan's horror franchise. 'Bhediya' premiered in theatres on November 25.
