New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently tested COVID-19 positive for the second time. The 79-year-old actor thanked his fans for their wishes and expressed disappointment in contracting the virus for the second time in his latest blog.

Amitabh wrote on his blog, "Yes despite all the precautions and the dosage for its prevention...the injection one and two and the booster thereafter...the care to not be in the presence of the public realm...Covid-19 did win and come out victorious! To say that I am disappointed would be an under statement...it is the concern I bring on those that are near and dear."

The actor also shared his concerns about the shooting of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14. "The sudden issues of the work front and their adjustments if at all they can be, of how to catch up with lost time, especially in the matter of the TV programme which as we are well aware, takes an immense amount of time and energy to coordinate and set up... it is the helplessness that invades the system... and the assurance that many give that all shall be well, is most courageous of them... but ever there are eternal apprehensions for their fructification,” he wrote.

Big B also stated that he doesn’t intend to give updates on his health. He wrote, “It is pointless for me to give you the details of the medical conditioning that has isolated me from my work. I have no intent of giving health bulletins .. but yes I shall and I should keep you updated ..what that update shall be , will be my prerogative .. hahahahah ..”

Amitabh Bachchan had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 in July 2020, following which he was admitted in Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital.

On the work front, apart from Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, the actor will be seen in a key role in Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Brahmastra', slated to hit theatres on September 9. He will also be seen in 'Goodbye' which marks the Bollywood debut of actress Rashmika Mandanna. Along with this, he also has Sooraj Barjatya's 'Uunchai' in his kitty.
