New Delhi: Director Vivek Agnihotri released a video from his morning walk through the city that has been getting a lot of attention on the internet. The director of 'The Kashmir Files' went on his walk with his Y-category security cover rather than going it alone.

The director is seen moving around in a black track suit while being accompanied by several security guards. He claimed that was the cost he had to bear for making the film about the murders and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir.

“The price one has to pay to show the Genocide of Hindus in Kashmir. In a Hindu majority country. Freedom of expression, ha,” Vivek wrote while sharing the video on Twitter.

The filmmaker also added the hashtags ‘Imprisoned in own country’ and ‘Fatwa’ along wit the clip.

As some people felt the director was "showing off" his security cover, the video drew a mixed response on Twitter.

Here is how people reacted to the video:

A Y-category security cover, which entails the presence of four to five armed commandos in close proximity to the protectee, was granted to the director following the release of his movie The Kashmir Files in March of this year. The film is among the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2022.

The cast of the film involves Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Chinmay Mandlekar, and Bhasha Sumbli.

Meanwhile, Vivek has recently started shooting for his next film, 'The Vaccine War'.
