New Delhi: Actress Jung Chae Yull from the Korean drama series 'Zombie Detective' has passed away. Her management team made the announcement of the actress's passing on Tuesday. The model-turned-actress was found dead in her home on April 11 KST, according to the global website Koreaboo, though the exact reason for her death has not been publicly revealed.
The actress's death was confirmed by the agency, and a private funeral is being held by her family. Also, they urged fans against spreading rumours and speculations.
“Today, we are relaying sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Actress Jung Chae Yull has left our side on April 11, 2023. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family who must have been in greater sadness than anyone else, the funeral will be held quietly in private," the agency said.
“Please wish for Jung Chae Yull, who had always been earnest in her pursuit of acting, to rest in peace in a warm place. We earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumors," they added.
Several social media users expressed their condolences to her family on her last Instagram post as soon as word of her death spread.
Jung Chae-yull, who was only 26 years old when she died, was born on September 4, 1996. Jung gained fame as an actress and model. She started her career in 2016 with the Korean modelling show 'Devil's Runway'. She got tremendous fame owing to this TV show, but her big break came with the Netflix miniseries 'Zombie Detective' in 2020. In the fantasy TV show, which premiered on September 21, 2020, and ended on October 27, 2020, she portrayed Bae Yoon-mi.
Prior to this show, Jung also starred in the 2018 film 'Deep'. She was also cast in the Korean drama 'Wedding Impossible', which was in the production stage when she passed away.
