Rajani Shahi's 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' spin-off 'Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, featuring Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma in lead roles of 'Abeer' & 'Mishti', began in March this year and is fetching decent TRPs. The chemistry between lead pairs Shaheer-Rhea & Ritvik Arora- Kaveri Priyam as well as Rupal Patel's grey-shaded character is getting good response from the viewers. To make the show more interesting and entertaining, the makers are playing to introduce a new character in the Star Plus show.

According to an entertainment portal, "Actress Palak Purswani of ALTBalaji's Dil Hi Toh Hai fame will soon enter the show and will have pivot role to portray."

Also seen as a contestant in 'MTV Splitsvilla 7', Palak Purswani will reportedly enter as the new villain in 'Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke'.

A source close to the project told Tellychakkar that, "Palak will play a negative character which will bring problems in Abir, Mishti, Kunal and Kuhu's lives."

She will reportedly be seen playing the role of Kunal's (Ritvik Arora) ex-girlfriend Shweta who ditched him.
