New Delhi: Star Plus' 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' has managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its drama-packed episodes. The popular show enjoys a significant fan following even after completing over 3000 episodes. The makers are planning to spice up things by introducing a time leap in the show. Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan, who play the respective roles of Naira and Kartik, will be seen in a different avatar post the leap. KaIra, as fondly called by fans, will shift to Mumbai after the leap takes place.

Vrushika Mehta To JOIN Yeh Rishta


According to a report in a leading daily, popular TV actress Vrushika Mehta will soon make an entry in 'YRKKH'. She will reportedly play the role of psychiatrist, who will get emotionally attached to Kairav. Her character will not allow Naira to stay close to her son. Interestingly, Vrushika's character will reportedly develop a liking for Kartik. This only means one thing. More trouble for Naira, isn't it?

"Vrushika will play a psychiatrist, who'll get so attached to Kairav while treating him that she won’t let Naira be close to him. She will eventually fall in love with Kartik," a source told Times Of India.

Who Is Vrushika Mehta?


The 26-year-old actress made her small screen debut with 'Dil Dosti Dance' opposite Shantanu Maheshwari. She played the role of Sharon Rai Prakash in the youth show. Vrushika was last seen in  Zee TV's 'Yeh Teri Galiyan' opposite Avinash Mishra. She has also worked in shows like 'Fear Files', 'Ishqbaaaz', 'Satrangi Sasural' and 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui'.

Talking about 'Yeh Rishta', the show will complete twelve successful years in January 2021. It initially started with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra, who played the roles of Akshara and Naitik. After they quit the show, the makers shifted the plot and focused on Naira's life. 'YRKKH' has taken several leaps in the past eleven-and-a-half years.
