There have been various reports claiming since past few months that the Star Plus' popular show 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' starring Karan Patel(as Raman Bhalla) and Divyanka Tripathi(as Ishita Bhalla) will soon go off-air and the spin-off of the show titled 'Yeh Hai Chahatein' would replace it. The new show was set to go on floors in June-July. However now there is a good news for those who were shattered learning about their favorite YHM coming to an end soon. The show gets an extension and will run for some more time.

The current track in YHM revolves around the marriage of Aaliya(Krishna Mukerjee)-Yug(Abhishek Verma) and Ekta Kapoor also has a major twist planned for the upcoming episodes that will deal with the 'death' of Raman Bhalla who's plane has met with an accident. The mid-air crash of Raman's flight back from London has left Ishita and family members shocked. While it is also revealed that he in fact did not die in the plane crash and instead kidnapped by Arjeet Saxena(Mithil Jain) who has more evil plans lying ahead for the Bhalla family.

The low TRPs of the show have resulted in it's end after about 6 years of run but there's still time.

And the reason is that it's spin-off 'Yeh Hai Chahatein' has been pushed further.

Pinkvilla report says - The spin-off was supposed to take off last month end, if our sources are to be believed, but as the makers couldn't lock in the cast, it has been delayed. Auditions for the show have been in full swing since April-May. The story for the spin-off will be slightly more matured one with the leads playing middle-aged characters.

A source had told the portal in May - "Auditions are in full swing to cast the leading pair for the show. While Yeh Hai Mohabbatein was a matured love story centred around a divorced man with a 7-8 years daughter and a woman who was infertile, Yeh Hai Chahatein will be slightly more matured with the protagonist playing a father to a teenager preferably in the age gap of 15-16 years old. Many actors have auditioned for the role including the likes of Mrunal Jain, Rahul Sharma, among others."

Karan Patel aka Raman Bhalla on the other hand has been making headlines with his probable participation in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 8' and 'Bigg Boss 13'. He confirmed having been approached for the former but said "Nobody has even remotely approached me for Bigg Boss. No one has even spoken or asked me about it yet" - talking about the latter to a portal.
