New Delhi: Television actor Gautam Rode who got married to TV actress Pankhuri Awasthy this year in February has revealed a shocking incident of cheating.

Actor Gautam Rode has been allegedly cheated of more than Rs 2 crore by a developer. He has filed the complaint against the builder with the economic offences wing of Mumbai Police.

As per report in a leading daily, “Gautam had booked a flat back in 2016 on the 31st floor of an under-construction high rise in Goregaon West and was promised its possession by December 2018. But, neither has the construction of the building progressed beyond the 14th floor nor has actor received any allotment letter or agreement, even after repeated requests.”

Report mentioned, “Rode booked a 2,445 sq. ft flat on the 31st floor for Rs 4 crore. Later on, he was asked to pay a lump sum amount of Rs. 1.5 crores and a monthly installment of Rs. 5 lakh. And the actor made cheque payments of Rs.2.11 crores in total between May 2016 and March 2017.”

Although there was no clarification from builder’s side about the construction the building.
