New Delhi: Tunisha Sharma died by suicide on December 24, 2022, while filming the show 'Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul' on television. The entertainment industry was shocked by the actor's tragic passing. Following her death, Tunisha's ex-boyfriend, actor Sheezan Khan, was arrested on suspicion of encouraging the suicide of a deceased co-star.

Since a few days ago, he has been in police detention. Apparently, the actor has not yet provided a clear explanation for why he broke up Tunisha, according to the Waliv police. The police reported on Tuesday that he has also frequently changed his statements.

Reports state that Sheezan also broke down in tears in front of a female cop while being questioned. Two weeks ago, Tunisha and Sheezan ended their relationship. Together, they starred in the tv show Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul. On the television serial's set, Tunisha's body was discovered. Allegations that Khan was seeing many women while he was seeing the deceased actor have been refuted by Khan.

"Sheezan has been in police custody for the last two days and we are continuously interrogating the accused. When the lady police officer of Waliv police station reached to interrogate the accused, he started crying. For two consecutive days, he kept on narrating different theories for breaking up with Tunisha but when a woman officer questioned him, he started crying. Whatever inquiry is being done on the basis of the family's allegations. Sheezan has denied the existence of any other girl in his life," a police official was cited as saying by the news agency ANI.

The woman officer claimed that up until Monday, the actor remained silent and his body language made it difficult to determine his feelings; but, last night, he began crying while being questioned.

“Sheezan is changing his statement again and again. Till now he has not given any clear reason of the breakup. The statements of all the people who were present during the suicide on the set will be recorded. Because he is an actor, he might be trying to make it look like this. There is no sadness on his face but police are probing from every angle,” the police added.

In order to access the data on Tunisha and Sheezan's mobile phones, the police claimed to be using experts' assistance.

Meanwhile, Tunisha Sharma's last rites will be performed on Tuesday at roughly 3 p.m. in Mumbai's Mira Road.
