On Tuesday, this harsh practice that continued since years on women was put to an end. Now the ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ actress, Divyanka Tripathi has come out and spoken on the issue.
According to the report in TOI, actress Divyanka expressed her opinion and said, "I rejoice for women of the community. They have finally got an equal right in marriage which constitutes of two people but owing to ‘Triple Talaq’ it always remained one sided affair. Women had to constantly remain in fear that they have to behave in accordance with their husband and in-laws else they'd be subjected to those three terrorizing words. A new era for these women has started from here on. I applaud for those who stood for their rights and salute the law makers for liberating them."
Divyanka Tripathi is currently seen in popular Star Plus show ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ as Ishita Bhalla. She is often seen speaking on matters that require concern.
Few weeks ago, she took to twitter to voice opinion on gang rape of 12-year-old girl in Chandigarh.
Divyanka is in real joy since the verdict has been out as she is a woman with pride and she encourages other woman to speak up for their rights. No woman should be subjected to servitude and inferior status. It’s time for glory.
On a related note, Divyanka Tripathi recently won Star Plus dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye 8’ with her husband Vivek Dahiya.
