SAB TV's long-running show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is one of the most loved shows on TV currently. 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' completed eleven successful years last month and it is still fetching amazing TRPs. While there is still no clarity about Dikha Vakani aka Dayaben's comeback in 'Taarak Mehta...', the character of 'Sonu Bhide' is set to make a comeback in the show. Nidhi Bhanushali, who played the role of 'Sonu' in 'Taarak Mehta...', quit the show to focus on her studies and now the makers have finally found her replacement.

As reported earlier, actresses Jinal Jain and Palak Siddhwani were shortlisted by the makers to essay the role of Bhide and Madhavi's daughter in the long-running show. Now, according to a leading daily, Palak Siddhwani has been finalised to play 'Sonu' in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'.

Palak Siddhwani has reportedly started shooting for 'Taarak Mehta...' yesterday (August 21) and her entry will be aired next week.

Speaking about her being finalised to play new 'Sonu', Palak told TOI that, "I haven’t got any confirmation from the makers. I did a mock shoot day before yesterday and I am waiting for the revert."

On a related note, the character of 'Sonu' was last seen leaving for Mumbai to pursue higher studies in the SAB TV show. Now, she is set to come back in Gokuldham society.

If the news of Palak Siddhwani playing new 'Sonu' turns out to be true then, she'll be the third actress who'll be playing the character. For the initiated, NidhiBhanushali entered 'Taarak Mehta..'  in 2012 after replacing Jheel Mehta as 'Sonu'. After playing the role of 'Sonu' for six long years, Nidhi finally bid adieu to the show earlier this year.

Speaking further about Palak Siddhwani, she is a newbie and has done few ads. She was also seen in Ronit Bose Roy & Tisca Chopra starrer Hotstar web-series 'Hostages'.
