Reportedly, 'Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji' will end in the first week of August.
Speaking about the same, Donal Bisht told a leading daily that, "I wasn’t expecting things to turn out like this. It’s heartbreaking and I felt bad when we were informed that 'DTHHJ' will go off air. I had quite a few offers, but I chose this show, so it’s disheartening when the unexpected happens. However, I would like to believe that this has happened for the better."
Revealing that she as hesitant to take up 'Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji' and said, "I was a little reluctant to step in for someone else. Being a part of the industry, you do get to know how a show is faring and about its future. I had asked the producers about the chances of 'DTHHJ' going off air, but they were confident that it would not end."

She further told Bombay Times that, "I was promised that the show would run for at least a year, but it’s ending in two months of me joining. Besides, when the protagonist is replaced, it’s usually for the betterment of the show. Considering all these, I took it up. In fact, the makers were planning to shift the set from Naigaon to Film City in October. However, the industry is unpredictable and so is the fate of TV shows. The channel has decided to shut it down even though the ratings haven’t dropped."
For the uninitiated, 'Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji' went on-air in January this year amid huge expectations with Jasmin Bhasin and Ansh Bagri in lead roles. However, the show failed to fetch expected ratings since beginning and is now bidding goodbye to the viewers next month.
'Ishqbaaaz' actress Surbhi Chandna's much-awaited show 'Sanjivani 2' will reportedly replace 'Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji' from 12th August.

Coming back to Donal Bisht, the pretty actress made her acting debut on small screen with Life OK show 'Kalash - Ek Vishwaas'. She rose to fame with her first lead role in Sony TV's popular show 'Ek Deewana Tha' also featuring Namil Paul and Vikram Singh Chauhan. Donal Bisht also played the lead role in Colors show 'Roop: Mard Ka Naya Swaroop' opposite Shashank Vyas.
