US President Donald Trump's supporters swarmed inside the Capitol building and clashed with the police just as the Congress was about to certify Joe Biden's presidential win. According to a report in IANS, at least four people were killed in the wake of the violent protests which took place on Wednesday. Trump's supporters attempted to stall the certification of the election results, which lead to chaos and violence.

Twitter Users Claim The Simpsons Predicted May Have Predicted The US Capitol Violence


Photos and videos of the violent protests have been heavily circulated on different social media platforms. Several Hollywood and Bollywood celebs have taken to social media to condemn the violence that took place at the Capitol building. Many Twitter users have even claimed that the popular show 'The Simpsons' might have already predicted the violence in one of its episode.

One user shared a clip from an episode of 'The Simpsons', suggesting the situation might have been predicted by the show. The video, which is going viral on Twitter, features characters with guns and bombs, who stormed a building. The particular scene is from episode 18, season seven of 'The Simpsons'. The episode, titled 'The Day The Violence Died', showcased a Constitutional amendment's attempt to ban flag burning. The particular episode was a parody of 'I'm Just A Bill', which is a 1976 Schoolhouse Rock! segment. It is available for viewing on YouTube.



Twitterati believed that 'The Simpsons' have got another prediction right. They shared the prediction for January 20, 202, which is the official date for inauguration of Jo Biden, who will resume his duties as the new US President. The photos shared on the micro-blogging site are from the episode 'Treehouse of Horror XXXI'.



The likes of Swara Bhasker, Richa Chadha, Celina Jaitely have strongly reacted to the incident on social media.

"What mob anarchy looks like," Swara tweeted.



Interestingly, this is not the first time it has been claimed that long running cartoon show - The Simpsons - have predicted future. They have been associated with many pop-culture references including that of Donald Trump being elected as the US President. From Trump's presidential victory to COVID-19 outbreak, the show has grabbed eyeballs for predicting events.
