New Delhi: Star Plus’ one of the most popular show 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya' which went off-air in 2017 after a successful seven year run, is likely to make a comeback with a new season, fresh plot and much more twists and drama. Season 1 was a hit among the audience and makers are hoping to re-create the magic again with some old and some new cast.

Earlier it was reported that Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka 'Gopi Bahu' has started shooting for the teaser of the second edition of the show. Now the the gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that showmakers have approached former Bigg Boss winner Sidharth Shukla to join the cast and once again share the screen with BB13 co-contestant Devoleena Bhattacharjee, this time on the sets of 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya Season 2'.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, television sensation Sidharth is the first choice to play the male lead in the second season of the television show. As per the reports, the discussion with Shukla is currently on a very primary level and is yet to be confirmed if the actor has agreed to be part of the TV drama.

In the first season, Rupal Patel aka Kokila had been prominent actor of the show. The performance of Rupal Patel as the strict and finicky mother-in-law had been one of the strengths of the show. Devoleena Bhattacharjee's leading character of 'Gopi Bahu' had also won million of hearts.

Speaking of Bigg Boss, the 13th season of Salman Khan's controversial TV reality show had managed to set the TRP charts on fire. Heartthrob Sidharth Shukla lifted the winner’s trophy of ‘BB 13’. The other finalists were Asim Riaz, Shehnaaz Gill, Rashami Desai, and Arti Singh.
