The "Kitani Mohabbat Hai" star, who has shot for an intimate romantic single "Do Chaar Din", said makers can't go no-holds-barred while showing intimate scenes on TV as there is a need to hide certain things.
When asked if he does not get the chance to film romantic scenes for TV, Karan quipped, "No, it is nothing like that. You look at all my small screen (appearances), we get a lot of chances."
"But obviously, when we romance on screen, there is a parda (curtain), we have to do like the romance of the 70s, need to hide."
The 31-year-old actor was speaking at the launch of "Do Chaar Din", yesterday. The T-Series music video also stars actress Ruhi Singh, who was last seen in Madhur Bhandarkar's "Calendar Girls".
The video features the duo in several intimate scenes, but for Karan, shooting them was not much of a problem.
"As an actor, I would give some credit to the director as well. They explained it well. Ruhi and me have known each other for a long time.
"It is just that this is the first time we have worked together. So there was this comfort level. We were pretty amazing with each other during the shoot."
The song, composed by Jeet Gannguli, has been crooned by Indian Idol singer Rahul Vaidya and penned by Manoj Muntashir.
