New Delhi: Rakhi Sawant’s husband Adil Khan Durrani has been arrested by Oshiwara police after an FIR was filed against him by the Bigg Boss 14 finalist. The Bigg Boss contestant has accused Adil of taking his jewellery and money. The police have lodged an FIR under section 406 of IPC based on Rakhi’s complaint.
On Monday, Rakhi had said that her marriage with her husband Adil is over and also levelled many allegations against him.
In an interaction with the media, Rakhi said that Adil parted ways with her for his alleged girlfriend Tanu. “Adil ne finally decision leliya hai ki woh Tanu ke saath rahenge. Kal mujhe bol diya unhone ki, 'Main ja raha hoon tumhe chor ke, Tanu ke paas. Main uske saath rahunga' (Adil has finally taken the decision that he will stay with Tanu. Yesterday he told me, 'I'm leaving you and going to Tanu. I will live with her'),” she told the media.
Rakhi also accused Adil of her mother's death and said she would have been alive today had she been given medical treatment on time.
"You have killed my mother. Had my mother's treatment been done on time, then maybe she wouldn't have died. You have left me with no options...You have brought me to the streets, robbed me," she added.
She also accused him of leaving her house with her money and her mother’s jewellery.
In a conversation with Waahiid Ali Khan, whom she also calls her brother, Rakhi said that before entering the Bigg Boss Marathi house, she had given Adil a cheque of Rs 10 lakh in case her mother needed anything.
"Meri ma dam tod rahi hai hai hospital mein. Bank mein, account mein paese hone k bawajood, isne mere ma k kharche k liye paese nahi diye...Meri ma kaese mari? Adil Khan Durrani ke wajah se mari. Us waqt time pe mere ma ka ek chota surgery tha, us waqt paese dediya hota, mera hi paese uska apna nahi. Woh toh ek bhikari hai, uske paas toh kuch nahi hai (My mother was suffering in the hospital. There was money in the account but he didn't give money for the expenses...How did my mother die? Because of Adil Khan Durrani. Had he given the money for a small surgery, it was my money. He is a beggar, he doesn't have anything)," she told Waahid.
Rakhi Sawant surprised everyone when she revealed about her wedding to Adil Khan through an Instagram post early this year. The couple got married in 2022 and she kept the marriage a secret at Adil’s request. Rakhi filed an FIR against him under IPC Sec 406 and 420. There will be a court hearing on Wednesday about the same. Only last month, Rakhi had revealed that she was married to Adil.
Rakhi Sawant was previously married to Ritesh Raj. The two also participated in Bigg Boss 15.
