New Delhi: Dipika Kakar and Karan V Grover are all set to romance each other in Sandiip Sikcand’s upcoming show on Star Plus. The makers are currently busy roping in the actors for the show. We had earlier informed you that Tanaaz Irani, Deepak Sandhu and Ashish Nayyar will play pivotal roles in the show tentatively titled ‘Pani Puri’. As per the latest buzz, another actor has joined the show. We are talking about Abhishek Malik.

Abhishek is currently seen as Rohan Shrivastav in Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel starrer ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’. A report in an entertainment portal suggested that the ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’ actor will be a part of ‘Pani Puri’ on the same channel.

“Abhishek Malik will play a negative character in the show,” a source told IWMBuzz.


A report in another entertainment portal said that Prachee Shah Pandya will essay the role of Karan V Grover’s mother. She was last seen on the small screen in the role of a mother in ‘Swabhimaan’.


Interestingly, Dipika Kakar is rumoured to be playing a Bengali girl in the show. The ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actress will play different role in her new show unlike her character in the Colors TV show.

The story of the show will focus on two individuals who are willing to give another chance. The show is expected to get a prime time slot on Star Plus.

Gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that the makers have approached Bigg Boss 12 contestant Romil Chaudhary to be a part of the show. If Romil accepts the offer, we will see him and Dipika shared screen space once again after their stint in Bigg Boss 12.
