Confirming the same, Avinash Mukherjee told a leading daily that, "When the show couldn’t generate expected ratings, the makers approached me to play the new hero in a bid to up the numbers. The ratings did go up slightly, but now, they have suddenly decided to wrap it. I wish they had given the show some more time to strike a chord with the audience."

He further told Bombay Times that, "I am feeling sad, but mainly for the crew of the show. None of them has been paid, as money rolls out after three months on the small screen and the show has barely run for that long."
TV adaptation of 'Sairat' and 'Dhadak', 'Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki' began in June amid huge expectations however the show failed to made a mark on TRP charts since beginning. After a run of mere two months, the show is bidding adieu to the viewers. The last episode of 'Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki' will air tonight (26th August).

On the career front, Avinash Mukherjee made his acting debut as a child-artist with 'Balika Vadhu'. The show was a big hit and his performance as 'Jagya' too garnered a positive response from the viewers. He later went on to be a part of various shows including 'Sanskaar - Dharohar Apnon Ki' and 'Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar'. The actor was last seen in an episodic of Sony TV’s ‘Man Mein Hai Visshwas’ whereas his last full-fledged role was in ‘Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar’, which featured Ronit Roy.
