Mumbai: Popular TV actress Mona Singh says she is excited to have come out of her comfort zone for her upcoming serial.
The "Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi" star will be seen in the supernatural show "Kawach- Kaali Shaktiyon Se".
"I am very excited. I've come out of my comfort zone, have never done that in so many years. That too for such a show which I don't think has been attempted on TV. As an actor it is very satisfying," Mona told reporters here.
The 34-year-old actress was speaking at the launch of the show. Inspired by the mythology of "Savitri and Satyavan", the finite series is produced by Ekta Kapoor.
Former "Bigg Boss" contestant Mahek Chahal will be seen playing the antagonist on the show but the actress is not apprehensive.
"I had done a film called 'Wanted' where I had done a negative role in which I was appreciated. For me it doesn't matter if it is positive or negative, the role should be strong. That is the most important thing," Mahek said.
The actress maintained today there is no difference between working in TV and films as the lines have "blurred".
"Today the film actors and TV actors all work together. There is no difference. All the big stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan are on TV. It is all about acting. TV is a big medium."
The show, which will go on air on Colors from June 11, also features "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actor Vivek Dahiya.
