Colors show 'Gathbandhan', featuring Shruti Sharma and Abrar Qazi in lead roles of 'Dhanak' & 'Raghu' respectively, went on-air in January this year and is fetching a decent response from the viewers. Specially, the onscreen chemistry between lead actors Shruti & Abrar is getting huge appreciation. To make the show more interesting and entertaining, the makers of 'Gathbandhan' are set to introduce a new character which will be the second male lead and new villain.

According to latest reports, popular TV actor Kinshuk Mahajan is most likely to enter 'Gathbandhan' as second lead and antagonist.

Reacting on the same, Kinshuk Mahajan has confirmed being in talks with 'Gathbandhan' makers. Speaking about the same, he told India Forums that, "Yes, I have been approached by the makers to play an interesting negative character. I might just end up doing it, but things are yet to be finalized."

On a related note, 'Gathbandhan' is soon going to take a leap of five years post which the story will witness many changes. If things work out between Kinshuk and the makers then the actor will make his entry post leap.
