New Delhi: Popular television actor and former Bigg Boss winner Sidharth Shukla passed away on Thursday morning, Mumbai's Cooper Hospital confirmed. He reportedly sufferred a cardiac arrest.
According to early inputs, Shukla suffered a massive heart attack around 10:30 in the morning. The 40-year-old actor was a fitness freak and was known for his healthy lifestyle.
"He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago," a senior Cooper Hospital official told PTI. Sources at the Hospital said he took some medicine before sleeping and didn't wake up. Later, the hospital confirmed that he passed away due to a heart attack.
Widely known for his fitness besides acting skills, Shukla had a keen interest in playing sports including tennis and badminton. Earlier this week, the Bigg Boss 13 winner posted tweet on Monday, in which he hailed all the Indian athletes for their performance at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
Taking to his official Twitter account on August 30, Shukla wrote, "Indians making us proud over and over again… a World Record in addition to the #Gold in #Paralympics … congratulations #SumitAntil and #AvaniLekhara."
This was his last tweet.
His last post on Instagram came on August 24, in which he posted a message promoting upcoming Mumbai Diaries show on Amazon Prime.
"To all the frontline warriors, a thank you from the heart! You risk your lives, work for countless hours, and comfort patients who couldn’t be with their families. You truly are the bravest! The news has come as shock to all the fans and memberes of the Bollywood and TV film fraternity. He is survived by his mother and two sisters.
