Jalandhar: Popular comedian Sugandha Mishra, who recently tied the knot with Sanket Bhosale, has landed in legal trouble. Phagwara police has filed an FIR against her for violating the COVID-19 protocols during her wedding in Jalandhar. She has been accused of flouting the COVID guidelines. The police officials have also booked Sanket Bhosale’s family members, hotel staff in a case related to Coronavirus violation.
According to reports, the case was filed after a video from Sugandha and Sanket's wedding went viral on social media.
Sugandha and Sanket got married in an intimate ceremony on April 26 in Jalandhar in the presence of their loved ones. The couple decided to get engaged and married on the same day. They walked down the aisle after dating each other for several years.
Mishra, while talking to SpotBoyE, had said that she would invite only selected guests to her wedding due to the COVID-19 crisis.
On the professional front, Sugandha was last seen in 'Taare Zameen Par'. She hosted the singing reality show, which aired on Star Plus. The 36-year-old won several hearts with her role of Vidyavati in 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.
Last month, the Ludhiana police filed a case against Bollywood actor Jimmy Shergill for violating COVID-19 guidelines. A case was registered against the 'Tanu Weds Manu' actor and 35 other crew members for defying the COVID-induced curfew while shooting for SonyLIV's new web series 'Your Honour'.
Some reports suggested that the police arrested 'Your Honour; director E Niwas and two crew members for violating COVID-19 rules. They were later released on bail.
