Actress Deepika Singh, who played the role of 'Sandhya Rathi' in popular 'Star Plus' show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' opposite Anas Rashid, is on a break from TV ever since the show went off-air in 2016. Deepika Singh, who is married to director Rohit Raj Goyal since May 2014, gave birth to their first baby Soham on 20th May last year & is busy nurturing him. Her fans are desperately waiting for her to come back on-screen & here comes a great news for them! Reportedly, Deepika will reportedly be working in writer Rajita Sharma's upcoming show.

According to an entertainment portal, Deepika has been roped in to play the lead role in writer Rajita Sharma's next on Sony TV.

Speaking about the show, sources further told Tellychakkar that, "Rajita is bringing in a new daily tentatively titled Patiala Babes on Sony TV. She has now changed the name of her production house to Katha Kottage."

Earlier, there were reports that she'll be seen in a guest appearance in Sony TV's 'Mere Sai' but it didn't happen. Also, Deepika Singh was reportedly approached to participate in Salman Khan hosted show 'Bigg Boss 12'. And if the news of Deepika Singh playing lead role in Sony TV's upcoming show turns out to be true then, she must have rejected the reality show's offer.
