New Delhi: Popular TV actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee took to social media to urge Mumbai Police and Maharashtra government to take 'strict action' against Divya Bhatnagar's husband Gagan Gabru. The 'Bigg Boss 13' contestant accused Gagan Gabru of 'abusing and assaulting' Divya and requested the police officials to initiate action against him. She made the request on behalf of Divya Bhatnagar's family.

Devoleena Requests Mumbai Police To Take Action Against Gagan Gabru


"It's my humble request to @mumbaipolice on behalf of family of #divya to take strict action against #GaganSethi,the victim's husband who abused & assaulted her physically & mentally to the core and also he have a criminal mind & a background #SayNoToDomesticViolence," Devoleena tweeted.  The actress alleged that Gagan has a 'criminal mind & background'. Divya Bhatnagar's Audio Clip


Devoleena shared an audio clip on Instagram in which Divya can be heard talking about her husband's abusive behavior. The late actress, in the audio, said that she suffered a lot during the COVID-19 lockdown. "I ran away as he threatened to cause harm to my brother and mother. I didn't listen to my well-wishers when they warned me about him," Divya said in the clip.

"And we still wait for the crime to happen and log bas tamaashe dekhne baithe rehte hai...that criminal is roaming wherever he feels like and asking to support him. How shameless and insensitive one can be... This criminal should be behind the bars asap," Devoleena wrote while sharing the audio on Instagram.



Divya Bhatnagar Death

The 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' actress passed away due to COVID-19 complications on December 7. She was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition. Divya's sudden demise has left the TV industry in a state of shock. A prayer meet was held for the talented actress in Mumbai. Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Aalisha Panwar, Yashashri Masurkar and Nidhi Uttam attended the prayer meet and offered their condolences to Divya's family.
