Popular Zee TV show 'Kumkum Bhagya' that recently dethroned 'Naagin 2' as no. 1 show on the TRP chart is gearing up for its spin-off titled 'Kundali Bhagya'.

While 'Kumkum Bhagya' focuses on Abhi(Shabir Ahluwalia) & Pragya(Sriti Jha)'s love story get ready for a new story with new characters in the spin-off show.

Dheeraj Dhoopar was seen opposite Dipika Kakar in 'Sasural Simar Ka'. The actor recently quit the show and is now back with 'Kumkum Bhagya' spin-off show!

And the actor who will play the lead role in 'Kundali Bhagya' is 'Sasural Simar Ka' famed actor Dheeraj Dhoopar. The small screen heart throb who played the character of Prem in SSK has been roped in to play the lead role in the upcoming Zee TV show.

Confirming the news to a leading daily, Dheeraj says, "This is a dream project as the audience will get to see me in a never-seen-before avatar. After portraying a doting husband in 'SSK', I will now play a flamboyant and stylish Casanova."

Speaking on his comparisons between him and Shabbir? He replied "I am not taking over from anyone. Of course, Shabbir has done a swell job on his show, but 'Kundali Bhagya' is my project. There will be comparisons, but I will carve out my own identity with the new show.
