'Star Plus' serial 'Mariam Khan - Reporting Live', which went on-air in May & replaced 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' at the time slot of 7:30 pm, is struggling on the TRP charts. The TV show will soon take a time-leap after which actress Mahima Makwana will step into the shoes of child-actress Deshna Dugad as 'Mariam'. Also, 'Mariam Khan...' male leads Paras Kanlawat and Avinash Mishra will move out of the 'Star Plus'. Now the latest reports suggest that, one of the lead actresses has also decided to quit the show before the leap.

Reportedly, actress Priyanka Kandwal aka Mahira is quitting the show after Paras & Avinash.

Speaking about the same, sources told an entertainment portal that, “Priyanka does not want to age with the leap in place. She has already put down her papers and has settled the exit plans mutually with the channel and production.”

The only lead actor who will be continue to be a part of 'Mariam Khan...' after the leap is Sheena Bajaj and she will apparently play the character of a Lawyer in the post leap track.

Priyanka confirmed the news to IWMBuzz and said, “Yes, I will also be quitting the show. I was not ready to be part of it post the leap.”

On the career front, Priyanka made her TV debut with Sushant Singh Rajput & Ankita Lokhande's popular ZEE TV show 'Pavitra Rishta' and later played parallel lead in 'Jaana Na Dil Se Door'.
