Bigg Boss is all set to come back with its 18th season and the makers are approaching celebs from various walks of life for being a part of the show. 'Stree 2' actor Sunil Kumar and spiritual leader Aniruddhacharya have shared that they have been approached for the show. While Sunil is contemplating the offer, Aniruddhacharya has firmly declined.
Sakata from Stree 2 aka Sunil Kumar approached for Bigg Boss 18
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sunil revealed that he recently received a call inviting him to participate in the reality show. He said, "Bigg Boss se call aayi hai abhi mujhe, October mein bol rahe hai Bigg Boss ke liye. Mai Bigg Boss ke liye abhi samay de raha hu kyuki mai police mein kaam karta hu na toh chutti ke liye problem hota hai thoda (I just got a call from Bigg Boss; they are saying it's for Bigg Boss in October. I’m currently considering participating in Bigg Boss, but as I work in the police force, getting time off can be a bit challenging)."
He further explained, "Chutti ke liye puchna padta hai vaise humare jo police ke sports afsar hai na toh vo mujhe support karte hai agar movie ke liye, ad ke liye ya wrestling ke liye kahi bhi jaana ho mujhe support karte hai, chutti ke liye kabhi mana nahi karte (I need to request leave, but our police sports officers are very supportive. They help me with time off for movies, ads, or wrestling events, and they never deny my leave requests.)”
Aniruddhacharya rejects Bigg Boss 18 offer
On the other hand, Aniruddhacharya, the founder of Vrindavan's Gauri Gopal Ashram, expressed strong reservations about the show. During a prayer meeting, he said, "Bigg Boss called me, offering crores of rupees, but I turned it down. It doesn’t align with my values and culture. Money isn't important to me; my principles are. Bigg Boss is a show where people often behave disrespectfully, and it's not suitable for someone with my values. So, I refused the offer."
Reports suggest that Bigg Boss 18 is set to premiere on October 5 on Colors TV and JioCinema.
