Mumbai: 'The Kapil Sharma Show' is all set to return with a bang on the small screen. Speculations are rife that Sumona Chakravarti aka Bhoori won't be seen in the new show. Ardent fans of the comedy show became upset after the rumours surfaced on the internet. Sumona didn't feature in any of the photos, which the cast of 'TKSS' shared on social media. This sparked rumours that the Bengali beauty won't be part of the upcoming season.

Archana Puran Singh, who is seen as a special judge on the show, has put an end to all the speculations. The 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' actress, while talking to Aaj Tak, confirmed that she will be feature in 'The Kapil Sharma Show'. She said that Sumona will be seen in the show in a different avatar.

"If you think that Sumona is not in the show, then you are going to get a surprise soon. There is Sumona in the show but her avatar will be very different, but we will have the same lovely Sumona," Archana told Aaj Tak as quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Archana further told the news channel, "Only Sudesh Lahiri is the new entrant in the current season. The team remains the same. There's a brand new set for the show this time. You will get to see an extension of the Kapil Sharma's family. You'll also get to see a completely new background on the set."

Kapil Sharma recently shared pictures of the new set on his official Instagram handle. He also posted a promo of the show which features Krishna Abhishek, Sudesh Lahiri, Bharti Singh, Kiku Sharda and Chandan Prabhakar. Sumona was missing from the video, which sparked speculations about her exit. Gossip mills even suggested that she was upset about it. Well, the cat is finally out of the bag and we are excited to see Sumona in a new avatar.

Sumona has been playing the role of Bhoori on 'The Kapil Sharma Show' since the past three years. She gained a lot of popularity after featuring in a special role in 'TKSS'.

Earlier this year, Sumona revealed that she is battling a disease called endometriosis since the last ten years.
