Voting for the single phase Assembly elections in Tamil NAdu is underway across various booths spread over several districts. Popular Tamil actors including superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Suriya and Karthi casted their votes in their respective constituencies. Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar and his wife Shalini also arrived at a polling booth in the Chennai neighbourhood of Thiruvanmiyur on Tuesday moorning to cast their vote.
The 49-year-old actor has been trending on social media since morning after a video of him went viral wherein Kumar is seen showing wrath to a fan who clicked selfies during polling.
According to reports, Thala Ajith after casting vote, posed for the photographer when his fans gathered next to him and tried to click selfies without Ajith's consent. One of his fans was attempting to click selfie with him when, the irked actor snatched away the phone and kept it with him. He is believed to have returned it after schooling the fan.

On the profession front, Ajith is working on his upcoming film Valimai. Recently, the actor in a statement had asked his fans to act dignified and told them to not ask for updates at inappropriate places. Directed by H Vinoth, Valimai is touted to be a cop drama. It is expected that Karthikeya Gummakonda will be seen as the main antagonist in Valimai.
Tamil Nadu is voting in a single-phase election where over 6 crore voters will choose among the 3,998 candidates seeking election to the 234 seats. while the AIADMK, allied with BJP, is seeking a third term in the Tamil Nadu assembly election; DMK led by Stalin has emerged as a strong challenger.
