New Delhi: Actor Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol is set to tie the knot next month in June. As per the reports, Karan Deol got engaged on Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur's anniversary; the couple's families are overjoyed. He is reportedly engaged to marry Drisha Roy, the great-granddaughter of pioneering filmmaker Bimal Roy. Dharmendra portrayed Nutan's unrequited lover in Roy's last feature film, 'Bandini' (1963). According to a family friend, Drisha is the grandchild of Basu Bhattacharya, a filmmaker who was married to Bimal Roy's daughter, Rinki Bhattacharya.
Karan reportedly has been seeing Drisha for some time and the two have finally decided to take their relationship to the next level. Their wedding is being marketed as a union of two movie-making families. His fiancee Drisha labels herself as "unsocial" on her Instagram account.
They are reportedly telling their friends and family members about their wedding next month and making their relationship public.
They were rumoured to have gotten engaged last year, but the actor's team was quick to clarify that "Karan and Drisha are childhood friends" and the news about them getting engaged "is not true".
Earlier, Pinkvilla quoted a source saying, "Karan and she have been dating for a while, and they have now decided to get married. They recently got engaged on Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur’s anniversary, and both their families are extremely excited about the big day. It will be an intimate ceremony, with only close friends and relatives in attendance. The preparation has begun."
Karan was seen with an unidentified lady in Dubai on Valentine's Day this year. It's all been figured out now. In the photo, it was none other than Drisha.
On the work front, Karan Deol will also be seen in 'Apne 2', co-starring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
